  In recent years, China's hydrogen water physical production equipment industry has experienced rapid development. However, the lack of unified and comprehensive industry standards has led to inconsistent product quality and frequent cases of false advertising, which have drawn strong complaints from consumers.
  To implement the "Action Plan for Enhancing the Credibility of Quality Certification Industry (2024–2026)" issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation, the "Announcement on Strengthening the Management of Certification Rules" (CNCA Announcement No. 9 of 2025) by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China, and other relevant requirements, this initiative aims to standardize industry development, coordinate sector-wide rectification efforts, improve industry governance, foster consumer trust, promote high-quality industry growth, and meet the people's growing demand for a better life.
  The "Implementation Rules for Certification of Hydrogen Water Physical Production Equipment" (CTS/CETC 0059-2025), jointly drafted by the National Indoor, In-Vehicle Environment and Environmental Protection Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center, Century Kehuan Inspection and Certification (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Huikang Hydrogen Medical Research Center, and Guoshi Chehuan (Henan) Technology Innovation Center Co., Ltd., among others, has been officially released on the National Certification and Accreditation Information Public Service Platform of the State Administration for Market Regulation. Our organization is now accepting applications for the "Certification of Hydrogen Water Physical Production Equipment." The relevant work is hereby notified as follows:

  

I. Certification Basis

  "Technical Specification for Certification of Hydrogen Water Physical Production Equipment" (Q/CETC 0058-2025)
  "Implementation Rules for Certification of Hydrogen Water Physical Production Equipment" (CTS/CETC 0059-2025)

II. Certification Scope

  Manufacturers and distributors of equipment with hydrogen-added drinking water and hydrogen water physical production functions that comply with the "Hygienic Standards for Manufacturers of Drinking Water Safety-Related Products" and the "Technical Evaluation   Guidelines for Water Treatment Devices."

III. Certification Model

  Factory inspection + product testing + post-certification supervision.

IV. Certification Process

  Application and Acceptance: Starting from May 20, 2025, manufacturers and distributors of hydrogen water physical production equipment may apply for certification by product category and certification unit.
Technical Review and On-Site Evaluation: Comprehensive assessment of equipment performance, material safety, production processes, and quality assurance capabilities in accordance with technical specifications and certification rules.
Certification Certificate Management: Certification certificates will be issued by product category and certification unit for qualified products.
Maintenance of Certification: Regular supervision by government regulatory authorities and certification bodies to ensure continued compliance with quality requirements.
Certification Product Labeling Management: Traceability of certified products with a "one product, one code" labeling system. Consumers can scan QR codes to verify certification information and authenticity.
